Drawing 1 - An introductory class that teaches the fundamentals of visual art while

using primarily pencil and ink.Teachings include the elements & principles of art via sketching a variety of shapes, still life and in-motion objects, exercises in imagination and visual translation, texture and shading techniques and 2 & 3 point perspective.

Drawing 2 - A class that explores the deeper layers of composition using textural and tonal juxtaposition. Intentional, purposeful and meaningful abstractions of subject matter are discussed and implemented in a variety of graphic mediums including pencil, ink, charcoal and pastel. Prerequisite preferred - Drawing 1

Drawing 3 - The human figure in all forms are studied in their likeness of physical characteristics and connection to the natural world including plant and animal life. Geological and weather formations are observed and perceived as representing other types of life forms in the physical and natural world.

Note - Nude content may be viewed or discussed. Students must be a minimum

of 18 yrs/old. or have signed parent permission.

Painting 1 - An introductory class that teaches the fundamentals of brush painting

using primarily watercolor and acrylic. Teachings include color composition and balance, using lessons learned in Drawing 1. Painting a variety of shapes including still life and motion objects, exercises in imagination and visual translation. texture and shading techniques and color mixing exploration. Prerequisite - Drawing 1 or similar.

2 hrs/wk + 2 minimum outside class

Painting 2 - Similar in content as Drawing 2, introducing a variety of medium and color exploration in composing art to express an experience in a deeper dimensional form.

Using primarily watercolor and acrylic, teachings include color composition and balance, using lessons learned in Drawing 1. Painting a variety of shapes including still life and motion objects, exercises in imagination and visual translation. texture and shading techniques and multiple point perspective. Prerequisite - Drawing 1 or similar.

2 hrs/wk + 4 minimum outside class

Painting 3 - An exploratory class into the realm of mixed media and found object assemblage. Wandering the forest or beaches seeing objects outside of one's own

pre-conditioned mindsets are experienced as well as visualizing the whole of the parts are practiced as a process of creating compositions of various scales.

2 hrs/wk + 6 mimimum outside class

Art Therapy - The act of creating is a necessary component in evolving and healing as individuals and as a society. Connecting to this innate energy within oneself can

be a transforming, empowering and self esteem building experience. 

Using whatever medium appropriate, participants are encouraged to express and release issues while creating and healing in a safe and anonymous space.

Note - All supplies are provided and included in the cost unless noted otherwise. Class times vary and are arranged by the student and instructors availability and subsequently, by the students progress.
